Brush. Brush. Smile!
Imagine a nine-year-old child suffering for years with pain in his mouth... a chronic pain that keeps him from focusing in the classroom and causes him to miss many days of school – all because his parents can’t afford to take him to a dentist.
The Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster is proud to partner with St. Joseph Health Ministries and Brush. Brush. Smile!® in our joint efforts to improve the oral health of Lancaster County’s children.
Their mobile dental clinic, the Brush Brush Bus, has visited all four of our clubhouses. They provided 59 of our members from our four clubhouses with approximately $57,000 worth of FREE dental care! This estimate is based on a dollar amount the child would have had to pay the average dentist in our area without assistance from any form of dental insurance.
Since its debut in the fall of 2004, Brush. Brush. Smile!® has provided nearly $2 million worth of free dental care and oral health education to more than 9,000 children across Lancaster County’s 16 school districts.
