RRTA’S “STUFF A BUS” PROMOTION TO BENEFIT BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF LANCASTER COUNTY

(Lancaster, PA) The Red Rose Transit Authority will once again attempt to “Stuff a Bus” to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster and their holiday Toys for Tots program.  Beginning Monday, November 3 through Sunday, November 30, 2008, RRTA will accept toys from riders in exchange for a free bus ride.  Riders who donate new toys will receive a free one-way Base Zone ride on any RRTA bus route to thank them for their generosity.  RRTA is also establishing pick-up locations with businesses and organizations to collect as many toys as possible to “Stuff a Bus”.   Any business interested in becoming a collection site can contact RRTA.Last year, RRTA collected 4,000 toys during the program. 

The official RRTA “Stuff a Bus” will be located at the RRTA Operations Center, 45 Erick Road, Lancaster during the promotion.  Toys will be placed in the official “Stuff a Bus” bus each day and notices will be given out each week informing RRTA customers and the community how many toys have been collected.
