Walker Clubhouse
Cooking Class: Currently 12-15 members off all ages attend a cooking class with our in-house professional chef, in a state of the art kitchen, every Friday from 5-7:00 pm. During this time member learn how to correctly read a recipe and learn the importance of adding the ingredients in only when specified. They are familiarized with the different measuring tools and are taught the different ways specific ingredients are measured. Members make anywhere from hot dishes to appetizers and desserts. Making cookies from scratch and learning how to make ground meat into a loaf and serve with a side of mashed potatoes (not from a box) as a hot meal is something we all strive to better.
This class gives our members the knowledge and skills to take home, and the ability to create a great meal for their families.

"I would not be where I am today without The Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster. They were always there to help with homework and always had all the necessary tools needed to complete any assignments. The club always pushed me to do my best; and taught me that education is key."
